Combustors
Combustion is a chemical oxidative process that can transform volatile organic compounds (VOC) , present in the gaseous effluent, in products with lower environmental impact (mainly water and carbon dioxide). The combustion process must take place at elevated temperature (greater than 750°C), with supply of fuel. Then, to optimize consumption, the polluted effluent is sent inside the combustion chamber only after being preheated by using the high thermal energy which itself possesses at the output from the combustion chamber. The heat exchange takes place in special heat exchangers and also allows some degree of recovery of energy for technological purposes.
