The operation of the ISR filtering unit is based on the principle of the chemical/physical absorption in a liquid and makes the reduction, usually with water, of the vapors and of the solid particles present in a gaseous flow, through their transfer in the liquid absorbent. In the ISR type scrubber the transfer unit is composed by a volume of randomly packed plastic or steel rings, having specially designed shapes and sizes in order to optimize the passage of the pollutants from the gas to the liquid, by providing a high specific surface. The scrubber, with circular section, can be made of plastic materials or stainless steel and can be provided with one or more dosing systems.
