The activated carbon filter is used for the abatement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs ) and odorous substances.
The operation of the filter unit, IFCA type, is based on the absorption capacity of the activated carbon. The pollutant -laden air enters through the inlet into the filter chamber, is purified by passing through the bed of activated carbon enclosed within one or more metal cartridges and then is conveyed outside by the fan. The quality and quantity of the activated carbon is determined as a function of pollutant concentration and of the specific operating conditions, with the aim to improve both the exercise duration and the environmental performance.
